EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings lauded the participation or at least appearance of several of the team's veteran stars at the opening of voluntary organized team activities two weeks ago.
Since then, several players -- including Jared Allen, Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, Chad Greenway and Antoine Winfield -- have been notably missing from the workouts.
Harvin's absence, in particular, is curious. He missed the first week of OTAs because he was still rehabbing following shoulder surgery in late April. However, he returned to practice on June 5 but has missed practice since. Coach Leslie Frazier continued to say Tuesday that Harvin's decision not to be with the team was part of the voluntary workouts and he expects Minnesota's leading receiver to be back next week for the mandatory three-day minicamp.
"His shoulder, from everything I know from our trainer Eric Sugarman, his shoulder is doing well," Frazier said. "He's still on course to be back when we get back to manda...
