Observations from an NFL fan who watches a lot of games but is outside the Eagles fan bubble: Man, you guys are blinded by the fake gold in Desean Jackson's 12 year-old mouth. Brown is a good, solid receiver playing on a poorly coached team with a wildly erratic quarterback and no running game. Did you forget what Brown did for you in 2006 when Garcia was throwing the ball. He dominated the Giants at the end of the season and in the playoffs and dominated against the Saints in the regular season and the playoffs. He can get it done when you need him most. Jackson may shine bright one day. The truth is Jackson has been inconsistent in running his routes, had his share of drops, and makes bone-headed plays. Have you won anything with Curtis? No. One great game last year, then drops, and he disappears in the clutch. Who has caught the first ball from McNabb in every game the last three games? Reggie Brown. Did they give him any more chances? Five passes thrown to him in three games, 1 touchdown. Redzone trouble. Look at Brown's career. He excels in the red zone. Check the numbers. This is on the coaching staff and the overhyped McNabb. How long can you stand watching him throw balls into the dirt, behind receivers, or over their heads? You don't want Brown. Plenty of teams with good quarterbacks can use a quality receiver who works hard (do some research outside of fantasy fanboys - Ask his UGA teammates) and runs professional routes. Scouts compare Brown to a young Marvin Harrison. There is a reason for that. BTW, how can you trust an organization that says starters don't lose their position to injury (LJ Smith got his back), but turn their back on Brown after he recovered from his. Reid said Brown and Curtis were the starters at the beginning of the season. I do think they should use Jackson as much as possible. He does make plays. I just don't think he's ready to be a WR starter and I think the Eagles are undermining their own chances at the playoffs.

Bleed Eagles Green:
think the nickname "Reggie the Clown" would actually be a compliment at this point. Clowns are at least funny, Reggie's play is absolutely pathetic as of late. Reggie Brown was never a stud WR, but he was never this bad.
Coming into the season I was hoping for another year of slow and steady, continued improvement from Brown. In each of the previous seasons his reception totals increased from the prior year. His involvement in the offense made him an ideal #2 or #3 WR. Nothing great, but a nice piece to a WR group.
This year the Eagles are getting NOTHING from Brown. I understand injuries hindered his start to the season, but what's the excuse for his recent dismal performances? In his last 3 games he has 3 total receptions for 22 yards, including yesterday's 1 catch, 0 yard performance.
Brown, like everything else Eagles, is moving backwards. Can he no longer get open? Are the coaches not calling his number? Has Donovan lost all confidence in him? With 13 total catches on the season it's gotta be all three.
It's scary, but I would actually put Greg Lewis ahead of Brown in productivity this season. Yikes! Brown was a 2nd round draft pick. Remind me again why the Eagles were afraid to part with a 2nd rounder for Gonzalez............................
