Years and years, Patriot fans heavily relied on their offense to produce not only the points, but the wins. The defense was always being worked on and even with the genius of Belichick, the defense simply could never be trusted. Its not only cost the Patriots regular season wins, but even playoff wins, and one could say a Super Bowl. Think of where Tom Brady would be standing right now if his defense wasn't ranked nearly
dead last in the league? He directed those teams to the promise land without really relying on the defense for support.
But now Tom needs them now more than ever, at least for the time being. So has the defense finally made the step to not only get out of the basement, but to be considered a solid defense? Here are the defensive numbers since 2008:

Sunday Funday T…New England Patriots QB Tom Brady enjoys family time with his boys and their dog Lua at the park in Boston, Massachusetts on a rare free Sunday. He rode a scooter with Benjamin and hugged and kissed Jack while they played on the swings at the playground. The Thursday games are great for fans, and even better for players who need a Lazy Sunday once in a while.-TOTom...
The Patriots may have won their first two games of the 2013 season, but the most played images of the Pats two victories was Tom Brady’s disappointed gestures, directed at his inexperienced receiving corps. Brady went on Boston radio Monday to let everyone know all the blame shouldn’t be place on his young receivers.
“I’m not making all the right plays, either,” Brady...
After only two games this season, it really is difficult to take statistics seriously because of the small portion of games played. Things change quickly in the NFL; teams start off hot then cool down while other teams start awful and then turn things around. So the legitimacy of stats early in the season (especially after only two weeks) is what you choose to make out of it. That...
With the Patriots offense not meshing as well as they would have hoped, it has been the defense that has been a pleasant surprise. Throughout the first couple games of the season, the defense has come through in the clutch and has arguably out-performed the Tom Brady led offense. Granted Brady doesn't have much talent around him, but that is still saying a lot since the defense...
FOXBORO, Mass. — If Darrelle Revis needed a boost of confidence going into his first matchup against the Patriots as a member of the Buccaneers, he got it from Tom Brady.
Brady had some high praise for the player he used to have to face twice a year.
“I’ve never played against anyone who is as good as him,” Brady said. “He’s as good as there is that I’ve ever played...
It will take time for the Patriots rookie receivers to develop, but will Tom Brady have enough patience to wait.
Tom Brady is being forced to play with three rookie receivers right now, leading him to lean heavily on his most experienced veteran.
Julian Edelman, now in his fifth season with the Patriots, is finally having the breakout season many knew he was capable of since his rookie year. The 27-year-old leads the Patriots, and the NFL, with 20 catches (17 less than his career high) in just...
Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson had different injuries than Robert Griffin III, and they were on different timelines and in different situations, etc. They’re different players, and, like all people everywhere, each is a precious snowflake.
Also, two games is a small sample size, I know, but that’s what we have to work with when analyzing post-devastation RGIII...
Miley Cyrus and Tom Brady have released a new version of her music video “Wrecking Ball”?? That would be terrific, but someone did photoshop the New England Patriots QB’s face onto her body. A bold proclamation indeed, but true? I believe so.
Now understand, Tom Brady will likely go down as one of top-5 quarterbacks of all-time and is a surefire Hall of Famer. Donovan McNabb is on the outside looking in at Canton.
Numbers-wise, Brady currently has over 45,000 yards passing, 337 touchdowns, and is still going strong. McNabb hasn’t compiled nearly that number of yards...
I don’t know what possesses people to do these things, but Tom Brady has now gotten the Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball video treatment. This video is creepy to say the least.
I’ve been living south of the border in Portland since December. One of the common phrases in town is “Keep Portland Weird.” It’s all over bumper stickers and has been the main reason the show Portlandia has blossomed into a hit. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, put it on your bucket list to visit the Portland Saturday Market sometime. It’s…lovely…...
Jerod Mayo and most of his teammates gathered Monday night at King's in Dedham for the fourth annual Mayo bowl. In attendance along with Mayo were stars such as Vince Wilfork, Donta' Hightower, Brandon Spikes, Nate Solder, Julian Edelman, Tedy Bruschi and Matt Light. Oh, and also some guys named Robert Kraft and Tom Brady.
Jerod Mayo spoke to the media before the event kicked...
