The Detroit Lions suffered their first loss of the 2011 NFL regular season last Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, a game marred by ‘Handshake-gate’. Has the Detroit Lions season already peaked before the mid-way point of the season?There are some issues that the Lions need to work out moving forward. -The Lions are 25th in the league rushing the ball on offense and that number does not appear to be getting better anytime soon with RB Jahvid Best out indefinitely. -The Lions are 26th against the run defensively, surrendering over 200 yards on the ground against the 49ers last week. On Tuesday, at the trade deadline, it was reported that the Lions had agreed to a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for Ronnie Brown in exchange for RB Jerome Harrison and what was reported as a 7th round pick in 2013.
