Andrew Hawkins' first NFL keepsake ball rests on the top shelf of his wooden locker. It may not be there much longer.
The second-year Bengals receiver owes a debt to his older brother.
Cornerback Artrell Hawkins played for the Bengals and got a game ball for a game-clinching interception in Pittsburgh. The ball was specially marked with the date and details. When Andrew was 11 years old, he needed a ball for a backyard game with family and friends and grabbed Artrell's prized memento.
Andrew is thinking of giving his keepsake ball from his first NFL touchdown to his older brother as a repayment. Artrell is thinking of getting his worn game ball repainted and giving both to their mother.
The Bengals (2-1) play in Jacksonville (1-2) on Sunday.
