The Seahawks announced that they have signed veteran safety Atari Bigby Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.
A former undrafted free agent out of Central Florida, the 5-foot-11, 213-pound Bigby has spent the last six seasons with the Green Bay Packers, totaling 164 tackles and 10 interceptions in 46 games. Seahawks general manager John Schneider worked in the Packers’ front office before joining the Seahawks in 2010.
Bigby, 29, has been limited to just 24 games over the last three seasons and visited the Seahawks on Monday. Seattle is projected two second-year players (Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor) in the secondary in 2011.
