So in one of the more strange, weird, wacky QB free agency shuffling going on right about now, the Seattle Seahawks may have struck first as the NFL waits for Peyton Manning to make up his mind already. Peter King, among many, is now reporting that Matt Flynn has agreed to a 3-year, $26 million dollar deal with the Seahawks, but only $10 million of it is guaranteed. And per King, it's a good deal at a very fair rate at that:
Three years right deal for Flynn and Sea. They have no idea if he'll be 10-yr starter. And if he's very good, he can make big dough in 2 yrs

With so much going on right now, it's borderline-fascinating to see how everything will shuffle around Peyton Manning, Matt Flynn, Alex Smith, Matt Hasselbeck, Tim Tebow, etc, etc, etc! Where does Peyton ultimately end up? There seems to be new momentum behind the 49ers pulling the big upset and landing Peyton, which could be a primary reason why Alex ...
BEST OF MAXIM
The lure of returning to the state where he was a college football legend was not enough.
And now the Tennessee Titans have to plan for the aftermath of missing out on Peyton Manning as well as number of other free agents, who could have provided the Titans with much needed help but signed elsewhere while the Titans pursued Manning.
When owner Bud Adams stepped in and publicly...
The Peyton Manning Sweepstakes appear to be over with the news on Monday that the veteran quarterback is going to join the Denver Broncos. The next question is now going to be, how many of Manning’s former team mates from the Indianapolis Colts will join him on the Denver Broncos? There are plenty of them available.
Wide receivers Pierre Garcon and Reggie Wayne jumped...
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a five-year, $96 million contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Shefter.
While the report is missing a key ingredient—guaranteed money—which will determine the real value of the deal, it’s highly unlikely Manning will actually receive $96 million over five years in Denver.
The inevitable first-ballot Hall of Famer...
Pro Football Talk is reporting that the 49ers and Mario Manningham have agreed on a 2 year deal. No word on the specifics of the deal.
With the addition of Manningham, do the 49ers still have enough cap space to sign Peyton Manning and if so does the addition of Manningham help get Manning to SF. Either way after less than a week into free agency, the 49ers wide receiving core has...
While the rivalry between the Patriots and Colts has gone cold, quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will rekindle their battle in 2012. Manning will sign with the Broncos on Monday, according to an array of reports, which means he'll be visiting Gillette Stadium next season. The NFL will release its schedule at some point in late April, but the Patriots are already slated...
Peyton Manning’s options have been become more clear over the last few days and we are getting closer to finding out who will have the future Hall of Famer under center. One team may surprise you!
The possibilities reported early on included teams on either coast, in america’s heartland, and a one a mile high! I can imagine that 2/3′s of the league at least considered if it...
Finally, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning made his decision. It likely stemmed from his friendship with Hall of Fame QB and Denver Broncos executive John Elway. The Denver Broncos give Peyton Manning a great shot to win, but they must address some needs moving forward.
The Tennessee Titans looked like the best fit for Peyton Manning. The blind side of their offensive...
With Denver's $96 million signing of Peyton Manning, love-him-or-hate-him quarterback Tim Tebow is on the trading block. Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy spoke highly of Tebow at the 2010 Scouting Combine, and for good reason, but we tell you why a deal will not be made in this analysis.
As Tebowmania grew last season into a full-blown phenomenon, John Elway's obvious indifference to his pop-icon quarterback never seemed to change. Some interpreted this as a sign that Elway's personnel opinions were not driven by results -- Denver was winning games, after all -- as much as his ego and some weird sense of rivalry with Tim Tebow, who was suddenly more popular...
Denver Broncos executive vice president John Elway took the time to post his thoughts on Twitter, of Peyton Manning’s work out at Duke this afternoon.
“We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C. He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there,” tweeted Elway.
Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers also came away pleased with Manning’s work out when they...
I have another submission for the growing stack of proof that Mike Florio is flat nuts. With Denver winning the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, the Broncos will be looking to unload Tebow pronto. Last night, Florio floated the idea that the Bengals might be a good fit for him. What?!?! Maybe Florio just needed another team [...]
I have to admit, it was exciting to play the "guess where Peyton will land?" game... but now it's over, and I'm glad for that. What a colossal distraction!I managed to catch up with Ron Jaworski ("Jaws"), and he affirmed my belief that the Peyton Maning signing by the Broncos has little or no effect upon the Eagles' 2012 plans... and according to Jaws...
Let the Tim Tebow sweepstakes begin.
With Peyton Manning supplanting Tebow as Denver's starting quarterback, other teams have discussed acquiring the unconventional Tebow from the Broncos, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, according to an ESPN.com report.
Among those teams, one league source categorized the Jets as "...
