One hour ago the No. 5 overall draft pick of the Chiefs, Eric Berry, tweeted two tweets: “Bout to head to st. Joe!!” Followed by, “Aka the deals done!” This has come to the jubilation of Chiefs Nation. Berry has made NFL history as he will be the highest paid safety in NFL history, reportedly getting a 6 year $60 million contract with $34 million guaranteed. A huge sigh of relief has been exhaled from the Chiefs faithful, since all rookies are now under contract and ready to strap it up for camp at St. Josephs. Berry the rookie out of Tennessee looks to emerge as the starter and become an instant presence with his excellent size and speed.
