On almost a daily basis, John Fox needs about as little time to roll through the Broncos injury report as it takes cornerback Chris Harris to return an interception 98 yards for a touchdown. In a league where injuries can make or break a team's season, it's Denver's lack of them - along with its ability to replace the few players who do go out - that has turned the Broncos into legitimate Super Bowl contenders with a nine-game winning streak. Led by starting-caliber performances from Harris and running back Knowshon Moreno, Denver (11-3) heads into the final stretch of the season looking almost the way the front office envisioned the roster on opening day. --- Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL

Broncos might get Tracy Porter back this week

The Denver Broncos defense has played at a high level with starting cornerback Tracy Porter and the good news is that he might be back this week against the Browns. Porter, though, started practicing three weeks ago and there’s a decent chance he will play, if in a limited role, this week against the Cleveland Browns. “As far as Tracy goes, they’re all competitors,” Broncos...

Miller to Make Final Push to Win DPOY Honors

When it comes to defensive awards, sacks don’t mean everything.  But they don’t hurt, either. Last season, Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller won Defensive Rookie of the Year honors despite recording fewer sacks (11.5) then San Francisco’s Aldon Smith (14).  This year, the scenario is different. Miller won as a rookie because Smith was—and in some circles, still is...

If the Season Ended Today: AFC’s Second Seed

As the chart from NFL.com shows, the Denver Broncos would be the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoff race if the season ended today. “Right now, I know we can control our own destiny, but if we don’t play our best game against Cleveland this week, that will be all for naught,” Coach John Fox said on Monday.  ”So all our focus will be on the Cleveland Browns, a team that’s won...

Joe Thomas has high praise for Denver’s Von Miller

I don’t know if he runs a 4.5 or a 4.4 or whatever he is, but...
