If you watched the Giants this season, you know there was a lot there but there was also a lot missing. Domenik Hixon One of the most glaring aspects gone missing was the play of the team’s everyman, WR Domenik Hixon, who held four different jobs. When Hixon went down in June with a knee injury, the first victim of the New Meadowlands’ pristine artificial surface, the Giants scrambled to backfill his roles. In almost all cases they did not, such as special teams, and it was transparent how valuable Hixon had become to the Giants. Hixon served as the team’s primary punt and kick returner as well as their top special teams defender.  He was also a reliable receiver who was not averse to running routes across the middle of the field. The Giants were glad to see him back at TIMEX on Monday. He stopped to speak to the pool about his recovery from knee surgery, which is on schedule. audio courtesy Giants communications dept
