Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger mentioned this week that he thinks Steelers’ tight end Heath Miller should be running for president. I couldn’t agree more and here’s why; 1. Miller could easily handle defense issues. Is there another tight end in the league that plows through defenders the way that Heath does? Can you imagine Iran threatening Heath Miller with nuclear weapons? He would simply flex one of his mighty ‘guns’ and the Iranian leadership would run in terror. 2. Miller would be great for the economy. When the Steelers need a first down, Miller is often the target. You’ll notice he always seems to get just far enough to convert. He would be great at balancing the budget because he rarely falls short and sometimes just barely gets past the sticks yet gets the job done.  3. Is there anyone better at creating jobs than Miller? The big tight end is excellent at taking up two guys at times with his powerful blocking  that can sometimes send guys to the bench....

Onward Steelers; No Excuses for the Offense This Week

If you go by what Pittsburgh Steelers’ owner Art Rooney, Jr said in his post-2011 season comments, the need for a new offensive coordinator was to help Ben Roethlisberger ‘tweak’ his game, get better in the red zone and return the team to a more solid running attack. Exit Bruce Arians and enter Todd Haley. Now at six games into the 2012 season, the offense is averaging about...

Heath Miller an unsung hero in Pittsburgh

When talk around the league about the elite tight ends the names Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Vernon Davis, and Antonio Gates and soon to be Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez always come up. Quiet leader Miller putting together career year

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By WILL GRAVES AP Sports Writer Ben Roethlisberger stopped by Heath Miller's locker and decided it was time to throw his tight end's hat into the political ring. STATS MAN: Ben Roethlisberger & Steelers Lethal on Third Downs

Six games into the Todd Haley-Ben Roethlisberger relationship, one thing is certain: Roethlisberger is thriving.Big Ben is off to the best start of his nine-year career, despite having a new offensive coordinator (Haley) with a new game-plan, and even though Pittsburgh had no running game to speak of through the first five games. The Steelers are only 3-3 (with all 3 losses on the...

Break Down Of The Steelers Two Point Conversion Play Against The Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers two point conversion Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals was an interesting play and one that likely will never be run against that defensive personnel every again. That being said, it worked as tight end Heath Miller schooled Bengals cornerback Leon Hall on a fade pattern for the conversion. So why was a pass play featuring 32 personnel (three...
