Talk about ice water in your veins. Kicker for Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington, Austin Rehkow, kicked a 67 yard field goal to put his team into overtime. Some four yards longer than the NFL record shared by Tom Dempsey, Jason Elam, and Sebastian Janikowski. The Seattle Times reported that Rehkow's kick set a Washington state record and was the second longest field goal in history with Reno, Nevada's Dirk Borgognone setting the record with a 68 yarder back in 1985. Rehkow has also kicked three successful field goals from 50+ yards this season, a lot for a high schooler. Just in case you wanted to know, Rehkow only has a partial scholarship offer from FCS school Eastern Washington. C'mon coaches! This kid can clearly kick, the least you could do is give him a full scholarship offer.
