The Arizona Cardinals are surprising everybody in the NFL world with a halftime lead over the New York Giants.
After punting on their first three possessions, the Giants appeared to have found their stride and were looking to get their first points of the day on the scoreboard.
Cardinals safety Jalen Thompson had other ideas.
With under five minutes to play in the second quarter, Thompson intercepted Jones for the first takeaway on either side, stopping momentum and putting the Cardinals in Giants territory with a 35-yard return.

Matt Prater ultimately knocked home a 44-yard field goal to make it a three-score game, and the Giants weren't able to capitalize on the final drive of the first half. They currently trail Arizona 20-0 heading into the locker room.
It's been a rough day for Daniel Jones, who is 9-16 for 62 yards. He's been sacked twice.
For Thompson, he's had to step up in the absence of Budda Baker, who was one of four Arizona starters who were ruled out ahead of Week 2.
New York will receive to begin the second half.
