The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the winningest organizations in all of Pro Football, so seeing them out of the playoffs two years removed from a Super Bowl appearance was a bit of an oddity. Former Steelers WR Hines Ward says the team is in total disarray. (AP Photo) Seeing them out of the playoffs was odd, but hearing “anonymous” players call each other out was very odd, and that happened last week when an unnamed Steeler called out Lamarr Woodley in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette claiming he was awful and out of shape. More and more lately we’ve heard of anonymous players ripping their teammates, and it ruins a lot of team chemistry when something of the sort happens. I expect that out of a team like the Jets. NOT the Steelers, and former Steelers WR Hines Ward feels the same way. “When you lose so much leadership in the locker room, that’s when things present itself like that,” Ward said on NFL AM Friday. “Guys start finger-pointing, calling out other guys. That is not the Steeler way. We’ve always had a rule: We are a band of brothers. We’ve always collectively kept everything in house. … But there was no finger-pointing and calling each other out. That’s a total disarray, a locker room in disarray.” Many pinpoint the lack of Veteran leadership and guys leaving as part of why the Steelers struggled last season, and it’s only going to get worse as the team will be fighting to get under the Salary Cap. Many more veterans will be let go and they won’t be able to keep marquee free agents such as Mike Wallace. For Hines Ward to come out and say things are in disarray, that’s saying something. Hopefully the Steelers get things figured out rather quickly.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Editor-in-Chief – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK The post Hines Ward: Steelers in Total Disarray appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
