By now, blogger nation has heard the latest in what has been a painful week for the Colts. S Bob Sanders needs surgery on his left elbow. CB Kelvin Hayden will miss up to four weeks with a knee injury. So, just this week, the Colts have lost SLB Tyjuan Hagler (biceps) and CB Marlin Jackson (knee) for the season. Sanders is supposed to be out for an undetermined amount of time. WR Anthony Gonzalez needed a scope on his right knee. And Hayden, who has already missed time this year with a hamstring injury, is out for a while. First of all, don't put too much stock in the timetables. Those are guesses. And as we've seen in the past, guesses typically are optimistic. If Sanders is back in a month, do we think he can be 100 percent? He was still recovering from offseason knee surgery and had yet to show he was the old Bobzilla. So I'm taking the position that the Colts will stick Melvin Bullitt out there, he's done a decent job, and we might as well just stop asking abou...
