Banging out a report card at 35,000 feet, still wondering two things from yesterday’s beat down in the Black Hole:
How does a stadium hot dog help a queasy stomach? Does Richard Seymour still think the Raiders will make the playoffs?
As for the latter, my guess is no. After falling to the Jets, 38-0, Seymour said the Raiders were so bad they couldn’t have beaten an Oakland-area high school team. As for Hot Dog Gate, maybe Mark Sanchez thought it was a newfangled energy bar in a bun. What I want to know is, how’d he get it? Is this what he meant when he said he needed to improve his sideline demeanor?
Oh, well, that’s all trivial stuff because the Jets won a game they had to win, although it came with a great price - Leon Washington’s season-ending broken leg.
