Houston Texans (4-0) at New York Jets (2-2) Prior to the Jets’ 34-0 home loss to the 49ers last week, one NFL executive compared the Revis injury to any other team losing it’s starting quarterback and he was so right. Without Revis, they can’t do any of the things to normally make them good defensively and for a defensive minded team, that’s absolutely devastating. Without him, they can’t blitz as much as they normally do, which really hurts a team that already ranked 4th worst in the league in pass rush efficiency. It also hurts their run defense some because they have to play their linebackers and safeties deeper in coverage, rather than stacking the box with Rex Ryan’s signature 46 scheme, as they often do. Normally a good run defense team, this team ranks 30th in the league against the run and don’t expect that to improve much, if at all, without Revis’ presence. And, of course, he hurts the overall pass defense. They currently rank 10th against the pass, but with no Revis, no p...

It should come as no surprise to anyone that the budding relationship between New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and Eva Longoria generated a lot of headlines since the rumors began floating some time ago up through Longoria’s admission that the two were involved. Santonio Holmes Replaced By Jason Hill, Who Called Jets Overhyped in 2011

Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any worse, the New York Jets (2-2) placed one of their best offensive players in wide receiver Santonio Holmes on injured reserve on Wednesday, ending his season due to a Lisfranc injury in his left foot. The news comes just about a week after the team lost its best defensive player in star cornerback Darrelle Revis for the season...

Extra Practice Session Added for Extra Focus on Run Game

Florham Park, N.J.- The Jets have all sorts of problems that need to get worked out if they hope to be as good as they think they can be, but their two biggest problems, by far, revolve around the running game. The league may have changed into a more pass oriented league than ever before, but being able to run the ball consistently as well as stop the other team from running the...

Stephen Hill Unlikely For Monday Night Football

Jets rookie receiver Stephen Hill (hamstring) missed practice on Friday and likely won't play on Monday night against Houston.Fantasy Spin:Given the state of the Jets offense, awful, it shouldn't matter whether he plays or not - he shouldn't be in your lineup. Hill is a raw talent that needs time to develop.

They'll get their latest chances to prove that this weekend when they each take on AFC East teams that are heading in the wrong direction -- the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills respectively. See the lines for that game and the...
