The Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Houston Texans in Week 2.  The Texans proved nothing has changed, it is all the same. And here are just five of the lessons that we learned.1. The Texans are the cream of the divisionThe Texans are the best team in the AFC South.  Their sole competition may come from a team that has a new coach, new offensive system, and a new quarterback.  And this team isn't the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars are 0-2 in the division.  Next week they play the Indianapolis Colts who are 1-1 in the division. The Texans are number one, who is number two?2. Maurice Jones-Drew is no Chris JohnsonLast year Chris Johnson had a lengthy holdout.  Johnson got paid.  And then he seemingly laid down.Jones-Drew ended a 38 day holdout.  He didn't get paid.  He is currently the Jaguars offense. In the game against the Texans, Jones-Drew scored the only touchdown for the Jaguars.  He also compiled 60 yards rushing and seven yards receiving. This on an offense whose to...

Arian Foster elevates the Texans rushing offense

Arian Foster elevates the Houston Texans zone blocking scheme, but everyone wants to criticize how much he really contributes to the system. The zone blocking scheme implemented by the Houston Texans offense is a system that is more driven by the play of the offensive line than the running back, but Arian Foster has made the system work to its highest potential. Most running backs...

Justin Blackmon continues to struggle

Jacksonville Jaguars 1st-round pick Justin Blackmon has just three catches through his first two games, and was shut out on Sunday against the Texans. Blackmon was on the field for 24 pass plays and was targeted three times, but failed to come down with a catch. The issue for Blackmon is his route running and it really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Oklahoma State ran a fairly basic...

Houston Texans Roll in Week 2

Ebenhack) The Houston Texans rolled through Week 2 of the 2012-13 NFL season as they dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 at EverBank Field. If you’re a Texans’ fan and there was any doubt in your mind after last week’s slow start against the Dolphins...

Jaguars without CB Cox, G Britton against Texans

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without cornerback Derek Cox and guard Eben Britton against AFC South rival Houston. Cox and Britton are inactive for Sunday's game. Both had been listed as questionable. Will Middleton will start in place of Cox. Veteran Herb Taylor, signed off the street Monday, will start at guard after just three practices - none in full pads. Taylor hasn...

The Rundown: Jaguars Edition

It is hard to imagine that things on the football field could have gone any better for the Houston Texans against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans pretty much played a solid game, except for the three plays that led to the Jaguars only score of the day. There were plenty of questions to be answered from week one and it showed on Sunday with the Texans focused for all four...

Muy Frio: Justin Blackmon

I’m not catching on Juan… Justin Blackmon came out in the preseason swingin’ and throwing blows.  This impressive preseason showing has painted a target on Blackmon’s back.  The Jaguars showed their hand too early and they are paying for it when it matters the most.  Blackmon may be facing top corners, but what difference does that make when your QB can’t get you the...

Jaguars defensive back Dwight Lowery finally ran down this idiot on the field

Jaguars defensive back Dwight Lowery finally ran down this idiot on the field. Probably had enough of that thing, you know, crowd noise. Another angle: Why not click the Google +1 & the retweet... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Texans use Foster, Tate to run past Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars game-planned to take Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson out of the equation. But that left a lot of other opportunities and running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate made the most of them. The Texans built a 17-0 halftime lead, with Foster and Tate each scoring a touchdown, and went on to beat the Jaguars 27-7 Sunday in front...

Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars: Hero and Zero of the Game

The Houston Texans are now 2-0 and look like a Super Bowl contender.Poor Jacksonville never stood a chance and they were only able to put up a meaningless touchdown on the Texans' defense. Blaine Gabbert continues to dissapoint as he was only able to put up 53 yards on 7 of 19 completions. The Hero:  Houston’s Running BacksAfter a disappointing Week 1 performance for one of...

Houston Texans DE Antonio Smith fined, Miami Dolphins G Richie Incognito not

The person who retaliates is always the one who gets caught, not the person who initiates the transgressions. Such is the case for Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith, who was informed he was going to be fined $21K by the NFL for kicking Miami Dolphins G Richie Incognito during last Sunday’s 30-10 Texans victory. Smith however, was not so much disappointed that he...

Replacement Officials Are Blowing Even More Calls

While the Houston Texans took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, a run by Ben Tate was called a touchdown on the field and then overturned. It looked pretty obvious that Tate was in the end zone. Arian Foster ended up getting the touchdown and it didn’t matter for the team but it matters for those of us who play fantasy football. I’ll take those points from Arian Foster.  JUMP! Have...

Week 3: Texans-Broncos matchup

Houston at Denver Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver - TV: CBS; DirecTV: 715 *TV announcers: Jim Nantz, Phil Simms *Keys to the game: Texans RB Arian Foster is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry, but Houston has done an excellent job of staying committed to the ground game despite a lack of explosive plays - and Foster and Ben Tate continue...

Jacksonville Security Complete Ignores Fan Running Across The Field

The Jacksonville Jaguars security is really top notch.  This fan ran around the field for 55 seconds during a commercial break on Sunday when the Houston Texans defeated the Jags 27-7.  I don’t remember a time when a fan lasted this long on any type of professional field.  What is more amazing is that only one, ONE, security guard even attempted to grab the guy. It finally...
