Found January 15, 2012 on Fantasy Football Champs:
Houston's Playoff run ended with a 20-13 loss at Baltimore in the Divisional Round on Sunday. Fantasy Spin: Quarterback T.J. Yates completed 17 of 35 passes for 184 yards, with no touchdowns against three interceptions - and was clearly razzled against a ferocious defense in a hostile environment at MT Bank Stadium. Stud running back Arian Foster had a strong outing with 132 yards and a trip to paydirt on 27 carries - but was not able to carry the Texans to a win. He also caught five passes for 22 receiving yards. Wide receiver Andre Johnson hauled in a game-high eight catches for 111 yards, but was held out of the end zone. And ailing tight end Owen Daniels (hand, knee) only mustered two catches for 26 yards. And it is worth mentioning that rookie defensive end J.J. Watt turned heads with a game-high 12 tackles (nine solo) and 2.5 sacks.

Classic "bend but don't break"--- Ravens 20, Texans 13

It was a game that almost got away from the Ravens. The Houston Texans' excellent blocking schemes foiled the Ravens' defensive front pressure on young T.J. Yates for most of the day. Yates had several chances to bring the Texans back into this thing...But in the end, it was the Ravens' underrated secondary defense which saved the day, and basically ruined a pretty...

Ravens-Texans: Champs And Chumps Of The Game

The second AFC Playoff game of the weekend between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans was a great battle from beginning to end.  With any great battle, there are is a winner and a loser, and a champ and a chump. Champ of the Game Hats off to Ladarius Webb who came up with two of the three Interceptions for the Ravens today, but the true Champ of the game was the entire...

1/15/12 - LOCK of the DAY

NFL LOCK of the DAY9 STAR LOCK 1pm - Baltimore Ravens -6.5 vs Houston TexansBuy this down one point for -130.  The Ravens are 8-0 at home this year.  Good luck to Texans rookie QB T.J. Yates on the road against this Baltimore defense.

The Houston Texans' Playoff Run Ends On A Pass

Even the most devout Texans fan had to question how far rookie quarterback TJ Yates could carry them into the playoffs. The answer? To the Baltimore 38 yard line at the two-minute warning of the AFC Divisional Championship game. Friend of TGS Patty Hsieh of The Pigskin Arch made a bold prediction: the Houston Texans would make three bone-headed plays in this game against the Ravens...

NFL Sunday Divisional Round Picks Against the Spread

HOUSTON TEXANS (+7.5) @ BALTIMORE RAVENS I think you go points here. The Texans defense should be able to keep the Texans in this game. Both defenses give up an average of 17 PPG. Both offenses score about 24 PPG. This is a very even matchup. I think this spread should be more like +4.5. Houston is giving up just 85.7 rushing yards per game in their last 3. I think you see the Texans...

After throwing his third interception of the afternoon, Houston Texans quarterback T.J. Yates leaned over, rested his hands on his knees, and lowered his head.

Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens 5 P’s: Preview, Point Spread, Pick, Prediction, and Poll

The Houston Texans won their first ever playoff game last week, following the lead of Arian Foster while T.J. Yates managed the game effectively. Playing the Bengals at home is far different from playing the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore, however. In today’s first game, Houston will attempt to reach the AFC Championship Game against New England…but they’ll have to beat Ray...

Monday Roundup: End of the Road

After a season filled with adversity and injuries the Houston Texans season ended in Baltimore with a 20-13 defeat at the hands of the Ravens. This game will leave a bad taste in the Texans players mouths for the coming months. With ample opportunities for the offense to win this game, the Texans came up short despite a valiant effort from their defense.   Trust us when we...

T J Yates Throws Houston Chances Of A Win To Baltimore’s Ed Reed

The Houston Texans had a chance to drive down the field and tie the game with a touchdown and the P.A.T., T J Yates was moving the Texans down the field when he decided he would go for the huge pay day. He released a pass deep down field looking for Johnson to make yet another spectacular catch as he has done so many times this season. Yates threw a bullet all the way down to the...
