In the Patriots 45-10 win over the Broncos in a divisional round playoff game, WR Wes Welker scored the game’s first TD and did an interesting celebration. He brought his hands to his face, did something, then looked to blow a kiss. It was odd, and I wondered what it was. Was it a nod to his mustache, for instance? Well… I asked Welker yesterday. “It was just like a little something that I kind of did,” Welker said. “A fan kind of gave me the idea so I went ahead and went for it.” No lie. On Twitter two days before the game, Jeremy Weiner sent Welker a message that said, “Would this work for Wes’ TD dance?” And yes, that video in that link (left) is exactly what Wes acted out. Not bad. Afterward, Wes responded to Jeremy, “I think you may have a future.” Hey, touchdown choreographer is a nice job.
