Usually in the NFL we know who the elite teams are, but sometimes we have a hard time defining exactly what that means. Do elite teams have shutdown defenses, high-octane offense and great kickers on special teams? Well, as we’ve seen this year, there’s no one qualification. The Denver Broncos, for example, are the hottest team in football. Peyton Manning is putting up touchdowns in historic fashion, and the team’s offense is nearly unstoppable. On defense, the Broncos aren’t exactly shutting opponents down, but they’re doing more than enough to get the job done. The New Orleans Saints, in a similar way, are hanging huge scores on opponents while keeping the opposing team’s offense on the run. Other teams function differently at the elite level. The Patriots, for instance, are riding on Tom Brady’s arm. Their offense isn’t particularly diverse, and their defense isn’t actually a great unit, but Tom Brady is keeping them ahead of much of the league. The Seahawks and C...

The Patriots went into Atlanta on Sunday night and put a stamp on their first landmark win of the season. Even after improving to 4-0 for just the fourth time in his career, Tom Brady still doesn’t seem impressed. “We’re doing OK,” Brady said during his weekly appearance on WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan Morning Show. “We’re just trying to grind it out. Afternoon Delight: Terrell Sugg's makeover team

With Terrell Suggs going off yesterday about how much he hates Tom Brady's hair, we did some digging. We thought it was weird that Suggs was so obsessed with Brady's hair (mentioning it several times over the years). Turns out Suggs' was originally supposed to be part of the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy crew back whenever that show was on the air. Now it makes a lot...

After amassing a commanding lead, Andy went big in Week 4–and his losses put him back within reach for my bets in Week 5. Meanshile, I plodded along at 2-2 for the week–bot lost my two bigger bets ($200 on the Bears straight up and $300 on the Bungles)...

One play later, Matt Ryan hit Julio Jones for 49 yards, setting up Atlanta...
