And let’s face it, if they are 1-5, with games coming up against Indy, Philly twice, Washington, Giants again, Green Bay, and New Orleans, they’d be lucky to finish 7-9, let alone 10-6, which is likely what they’d need for a playoff berth.
However, 2-4 gives the Cowboys a jolt, a shot in their collective arm that they desperately need. It still makes it very difficult to climb back into the race, especially with the Giants and Eagles playing well, and with Washington also looking down on them in the standings. But the difference for Dallas between 1-5 and 2-4 is huge.
So how badly do you think Tom Coughlin wants his team to beat their fierce division rivals? Pretty badly, though as we said earlier this week, a loss for the Giants wouldn’t be nearly as devastating as it would be for the Cowboys.
