Randy Moss found his way back to the league this off season with the 49ers. Arguably the most physically gifted specimen to play the position Randy has the opportunity to garnish a Hall of Fame career with a ring. Moss will be available in the late rounds as hes been written off by most experts. In deeper leagues Randy can boast receiver two numbers, and might win you a game here and there. He’ll also be a huge red zone target to compliment the power running games of Frank Gore and Brandon Jacobs. Y’all already know Moss is still Boss.

Jim Harbaugh blasts media for criticizing rookie A.J. Jenkins

The 49ers are going to try to establish a better passing game this season, and first-round draft pick A.J. Jenkins is expected to be a significant part of the plan. By adding Jenkins, Randy Moss and Mario Manningham, San Francisco is hoping their offense can become more dynamic and Alex Smith can be more effective throwing the ball. However, there has been some indication that Jenkins...

2012 NFL preseason power rankings: 49ers best of the rest?

With the kickoff to the 2012 NFL season a little over a month away football fans can only hope that this is the year that their beloved team finds a way to get it done. Many questions exist heading in to 2012: Can Alex Smith do enough to get the San Francisco 49ers to the [...]

49ers’ Michael Crabtree once again banged up

Getty Images San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree was held out of practice on Saturday and Sunday after suffering what appears to be either an ankle or foot injury on Friday. It looks like the 49ers aren’t too worried about Crabtree’s long-term health. “Like any injury, you never know how long it’s going to take these guys to come back,” said 49ers GM Trent...

Aldon Smith looking to regain trust of 49ers, fans

Everybody knows that nothing good happens in a house party, especially late at night. Compound that with a NFL rising star, and envy becomes a deadly weapon. Aldon Smith found that out when he was stabbed earlier in the off-season requiring his wound to be stapled closed. “I let everybody down,” admitted Aldon Smith, according to Pro Football Talk.  “Letting everybody...

Jim Harbaugh tells the “pundits” to stop saying A.J. Jenkins will be a bust

On Sunday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh decided to sqaush any thought abuut rookie wide receiver A.J. Jenkins’ struggles being a concern. “I just want to update you on the status of A.J. Jenkins, that topic,” Harbaugh said, per NFL.com. “A.J. Jenkins was an outstanding football player when he got here. His progress has been very, very good and exceeded expectations...

Niners' Gore ready for competition, more winning

Frank Gore doesn't much believe in being overworked. While the 49ers went to great lengths to expand their depth chart behind Gore, the team's leading rusher with 1,211 yards last season, it's not in the prideful 29-year-old's job description or genetic fiber to hand the ball off. He's not only leading by example at practice, Gore is giving younger running...

Harbaugh defends A.J. Jenkins, bashes ‘clueless’ critics

This past April, the 49ers pulled off a bit of a head-scratcher, selecting receiver A.J. Jenkins with their first-round draft pick, No. 30 overall. It’s not to say Jenkins isn’t a good football player — his highly-productive college resume speaks for itself — but many expected the club to go in a different direction. Those who were against the pick were given some ammo during...

49ers' Gore still driven despite accomplishments

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) Frank Gore may stand alone among all San Francisco 49ers running backs but he's not done working. The three-time Pro Bowler is still one of the first players to arrive each day at team headquarters, beginning his training camp ritual with an early morning conditioning session long before the 49ers take to the practice field...

49ers TE Delanie Walker’s Jaw Injury Still Lingers

In the pantheon of NFL injuries, it probably ranks below Ronnie Lott And The Severed Pinkie, but it’s still enough to give one pause: Delanie Walker still can’t feel part of his face. This week, the 49ers tight end said he severed nerves on the left side of his face as a result of the broken jaw he suffered on Dec. 24 in a win at Seattle. Walker still has some isolated numbness...

49ers Never Offered FS Dashon Goldson A Long-Term Deal

On Thursday, after signing his franchise tender and reporting to training camp on time, safety Dashon Goldson replied “not really” when asked if the team had offered a multiyear deal during the offseason. Asked if the 49ers ever presented Goldson with a long-term contract offer, Baalke said he didn’t discuss contract negotiations in the media. Baalke was, however, happy to discuss...

49ers WR Michael Crabtree’s Latest Injury Not Connected To Troublesome Foot

Niners wide receiver Michael Crabtree will miss his second straight practice today, said Jim Harbaugh, who added, helpfully, that Crabtree “was working through something.” Asked about Crabtree’s status, general manager Trent Baalke jokingly said Crabtree was “working through something,” but he was slightly more revelatory than Harbaugh. Crabtree’s injury is believed to be to...

Goldson: Worth Gold?

This week I’m going to tackle perhaps the biggest remaining burning issue of the 49ers offseason – contract issues surrounding one of our players, Dashon Goldson. Why is he such an issue? First of all, a little background. Those of you who watched the team last year will know that there is no doubt that one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, for success last year...

Jim Harbaugh Retracts On Randy Moss Being Best 49ers Receiver

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh recently retracted from a statement he made to former Oakland Raiders signal-caller Rich Gannon regarding Randy Moss being the best wide receiver on the team, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. Harbaugh cleared up the confusion, clarifying that a No. 1 receiver has not been named and the original statement was made in reference...

49ers open camp with sights set on Super Bowl

Alex Smith jokingly compared his blossoming relationship with wide receiver Randy Moss to a new girlfriend. Jim Harbaugh offered excitement, angst and little insight all at once. Moss even offered his opinion again. And so it began. The day the San Francisco 49ers had waited for since losing to the New York Giants in overtime of the NFC championship game in January finally arrived...
