Found November 10, 2012 on The Bay Cave:
Rookie running back Doug Martin has taken the NFL and it’s fans by storm as of late. At the halfway mark of the 2012 season, Martin is getting lots of attention. And with the performances and stats he has recorded, he deserves it.  Martin now holds the Bucs’ record for most yards and touchdowns in a single game with 251 yards and four touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. He also became the first player in NFL history with 3 TD runs of 40 yards or more in a game (70, 67, 45). His 486 scrimmage yards in the past two games is the most in a two-game span since Walter Payton did it in 1977. He currently sits atop the rookie class with 794 yards and ranks second in the NFL with 5.2 yards per carry. How did he get to this point? Check out the fan-made video below for that answer as he teaches NFL defenders how to “Dougie”. The post How to Dougie: Doug Martin highlights (VIDEO) appeared first on The Bay Cave.

Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer to face familiar Baltimore Ravens

Before quarterback Carson Palmer was traded to the Oakland Raiders last season, he spent seven years battling the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals. This Sunday, Palmer will lead the Raiders to take on the Ravens in Baltimore and will look to build on his previous success against his former rivals. In 13 career games against the Ravens, Palmer has a...

Raiders to cut CB Lee

The Oakland Raiders are expected to release starting cornerback Pat Lee, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Saturday. NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported that the move is being made in anticipation of cornerback Ron Bartell's return from a shoulder injury. Lee started the last seven games for Oakland. Bartell was placed on the injury reserve/designated for return...

Raiders are no match for the Ravens in Baltimore, lose by 55×20

An Oakland Raiders all-time franchise record was tied in the game against the Baltimore Ravens today. Unfortunately for the Silver&Black, it was nothing to be proud of. The 55 points allowed by the Raiders defense were the most ever in the team’s history, matching the number of points conceded in 1961 to Houston and in 1981 versus San Diego. Several big [...]

Quincy Black carted off field

Tampa Bay linebacker Quincy Black was carted off the field after tackling San Diego running back Ryan Matthews during the third quarter of Sunday's game between the Buccaneers and Chargers. Black stopped Matthews for a 1-yard loss, but remained on the ground with just under four minutes remaining. There was no immediate announcement on the nature of the injury, but trainers...

Marcel Reece Leads Raiders' Backfield Week 10

Raiders back Marcel Reece got the majority of the backfield work Sunday against the Ravens, rushing for 48 yards on 13 carries and catching seven passes for 56 yards.Fantasy Spin:Meanwhile, Taiwan Jones was a nonfactor even before Oakland fell behind big. Reece is the Raiders back to own while Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson are out with high ankle sprains, especially in PPR leagues.

McFadden, Goodson inactive for Raiders vs Ravens

Injured running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson have been placed on the inactive list by the Oakland Raiders for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. McFadden and Goodson rank 1-2 on the team's rushing list. Both have sprained right ankles, leaving Taiwan Jones - who has one carry for 2 yards this year - as the likely starter. Oakland also put defensive tackle...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers News: Mid-Season Report Card

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are at the halfway point of the regular season and find themselves at 4-4. As a disclaimer, I predicted this was a 7-9 team heading into the regular season, but this is actually a team which should be 6-2 at this point. You can point to any of their losses and find two games more that this current Buccaneers team should have won. Dallas, New York Giants,...

Tampa Bay receiver and kick returner Arrelious Benn is inactive for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers after not practicing all week because of a shoulder injury.
