Football and Futbol:
Terrell Owens visited Chad Johnson in the Broward County, Fla., jail on Saturday and said his former Bengals teammate was in “good spirits,” although seeing Johnson locked up was a “humbling experience.”
Owens who has been trying to get back in the league for some time now finally has something interesting coming out of his mouth, and it’s not about him. He and Johnson were teammates with the Bengals in 2010 and have stayed in contact since parting ways.
During Owens’ visited, he stated on his Twitter account “Just visited the homie @ochocinco. He’s in good spirits, he needs a haircut already tho. Lol. He sends his best regards to everyone,” also adding that it was the first time he had visited anyone in prison. “I really didn’t know what to expect but to see the homie locked up is a very humbling experience, to talk to him via vid conference let me know that’s not where anyone wants to be. I know he’s only in the county jail but to someone that has never been locked up…Jail is Jail!”
Johnson’s plea deal was rejected last week after he patted his male attorney on the butt inside a Florida court room. Johnson’s deal with prosecutors was for community service and counseling to resolve a probation violation from his no-contest plea last year to battery on his then-wife, Evelyn Lozada, but it was rejected by Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh last week after Johnson gave his attorney a backside pat. The Honorable McHugh did not enjoy such a stunt and decided Johnson was not taking his violation very seriously, stating “this isn’t a joke,” also raising questions about his sincerity. This resulted in Johnson receiving a 30-day jail sentence. Adam Swickle, Johnson’s attorney, asked McHugh last week to reconsider the sentence, saying the backside pat was merely Johnson’s way of showing appreciation for his attorney’s work on the case.
With celebrities or anyone, you have to understand that people celebrate and show appreciation in different ways. I understand that a court room might not have been the right place to show that type of appreciation, but he was excited, which doesn’t take away from his sincerity. I can’t imagine Lindsay Lohan being in front of the Honorable Judge McHugh. Either way, prosecutors say they’ll leave Johnson’s sentence up to McHugh, who presides over Broward County domestic violence cases and a hearing has been set for Monday.

WHAT A FRIEND
Terrell Owens visited Chad Johnson in jail on Saturday and sent a series of entertaining tweets about it. See what TO had to say.
They were some of the most flamboyant players in the NFL, and their friendship is just as strong as ever.
Terrell Owens visited Chad Johnson in county jail Saturday. Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after slapping his attorney on the backside after initially looking like he avoided jail time.
It seemed to by an eye-opening experience for Owens .
Just visited the homie...
Terrell Owens visited Chad Johnson in county jail on Saturday afternoon and he tweeted about the experience of seeing his friend behind bars. As you have probably read, Johnson is serving a 30 day sentence for angering the judge presiding over his probation violation hearing by patting his attorney’s butt. (And in an interesting twist, the judge is legally blind.)
Terrell Owens was one of the great showmen of the NFL for a long time, but those days are gone. Unfortunately, Owens seems to enjoy hanging around far after his presence is no longer required.
Earlier this week, Terrell Owens spoke on NFL Radio, and his latest target for employment appears to be Kansas City. Owens indicated that he would fit well with Andy Reid in Kansas City...
Chad Johnson is still in jail, almost a week after a Florida judge felt Johnson wasn’t taking the proceedings seriously. Chad is expected to be in court Monday to see if the judge’s ruling will stick. Over the weekend, Chad’s former teammate and BFF, Terrell Owens went to visit him in jail. For Terrell it was a sobering experience to see his friend locked up and also probably...
Chad “Ochocino” Johnson was set to avoid jail time last week. As the judge was explaining what he had to do instead of being behind bars (community service, etc.), Johnson [...]
It doesn’t surprise me that Terrell Owens would visit Chad “Ochocinco” in jail, especially because of their similar loud mouths and diva type antics. Personally, both represent a sad story as each have been cause for excessive drama on and off the field. The point: At one time both these guys had talent; Owens is a for sure Hall of Famer and Ochocinco had the talent to one...
Call this one of those “What is wrong with America,” moments. Tuesday morning, Chad Johnson started making the rounds after his short incarceration after he smacked his attorney in the butt in front of a judge during a probation hearing. What do we mean by making the rounds? By being one of the segments this morning for housewives to watch on Good Morning America. Host Robin...
In what seems like a bizarre twist on “Scared Straight,” Terrell Owens tweeted about visiting fellow former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson in jail on Saturday.
Johnson is currently residing in Broward County jail, serving a 30-day sentence for a probation violation revolving around an altercation involving his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. Johnson was originally going to get off without...
Terrell Owens paid a visit to his friend and former teammate, Chad Johnson, in jail. It was a humbling experience for the outspoken former NFL superstar.
Chad Johnson should’ve been punished for playfully slapping his lawyer’s butt in court, but I’m not sure jail time was the answer. Amazingly, Johnson is still locked up nearly a week later. Despite his lawyer’s attempts, the judge hasn’t budged […]

Maybe Chad Johnson is finally turning over a new leaf.
The wide receiver was released from jail Monday after seven days behind bars. Johnson’s original 30-day sentence stemmed from an incident where Johnson patted his lawyer’s backside in a court appearance, and Judge Kathleen McHugh did not take kindly to Johnson making a mockery of her court room. Johnson was released early...
If the whispers are true and the Cincinnati Bengals are returning to the all-access reality show "Hard Knocks" this August, it doesn't necessarily mark a return to the outrageous and flamboyant days of the Bengals' not-too-distant past.
It does, however, mark the end of any anonymity this group has enjoyed over the last two seasons, seasons that would be deemed...
