Hunter Smith Booted After Botched Extra Point

Well it looks like the Washington Redskins have chosen Hunter Smith as the one to blame.  They released him and signed Sam Paulescu, who played briefly with the Skins last year and played 10 games in 2008 with the Cowboys.  Hmmm, the Redskins are playing the Cowboys this weekend.  In Gano news, Shanahan has brought in kickers, but only because Gano has sore ribs.  According to Shanahan “We’re bringing them in right now ’cause the ribs are sore, and if he’s full speed he’ll be our kicker this week.”  So miss 2 FGs you’re in, botch a semi-high snap to hold for a FG, you’re out. And really, if the Redskins offense tranlated 1 of those 3 FGs (2 misses) in the first half to a TD, there would be no speculation or issue.
