I bet Nick Foles Starts against the Falcons.

Posted October 18, 2012

We heard Andy back track on his comments once before about evaluating Vick. He made it very clear the other day by saying Vick is the starting qb as it stands now,hes evaluating everyone. I think by the end of the week or over the weekend we will hear "Nick Foles is now the starting qb against the Atlanta Falcons.

  • Are they back from break yet? I don't think we will truly know until next week. If Foles isn't the starter Vick will have a short leash.
  • The Falcons game is a home game too. That is the best game to start the rookie. The Saints game would be a bad idea.
  • They usually have a break during the bye just like Eazy stated. Not sure when they will be back but am almost certain they aren't back yet. We'll definitely know who the starter against the Falcons is after their first day back if not before.
  • ...I'm still thinking it's going to be Vick.
  • A week ago I would have said Vick 100%, but now I'm at like 55/45 Vick.
  • Seeing that it is going to be Vick. Didn't think Reid would start making too many moves yet and like I typed before...he just doesn't want to count on a rookie to help save his job.
  • I'm not denying the fact Juan was bad and needed to go
but in reality how much has really changed? Same defensive
schemes despite the fact a new person is calling the plays.
Same inept offensive playcalling. Same turnover happy
quarterback, Same struggles on special teams. Juan's unit
for the most part was giving up less than 20 a game.
What can Bowles do to fix this offense?
  • If Reid makes many more changes he is admitting to everyone that he is the problem and therefore needs to go. He's desperate right now but I doubt he's giving up.

  • Well Reid IS the problem, but by getting rid of Juan
and making no changes to the offense looks bad. The
Offense is terrible right now. At least change one of
    the many struggling lineman.
  • Its Vick

  • I dont really care because this is Andys last year. Unless they reach the superbowl. And that doesnt look too likely at the moment now does it?
  • Why Vick? Because the season will potentially be over after the next two games. And at that point Reid could be out the door. Could be an interim coach but I suspect Lurie would attempt another insider job which wouldnt go over real well. It wont be Marty next.
  • Vick is the key to turn all of this around. If Vick somehow channels the 2010 version of himself the Eagles will be a great team, but if he can't it's over for him and Reid in Philly.
  • Can't, won't and it's all over.
  • I know it's bleak. Reid didn't make any real changes. Players are calling out players. Players are patting themselves on the back for doing nothing. Vick is a delusional nightmare. I get it, but at 3-3 they are still in the hunt. Realistically I don't think they have a shot, but I'm hoping.
