Before get start with the lead, can someone please explain to me what was up with the Tight End explosion this week? Garrett Graham, Benjamin Watson, and Marcedes Lewis all scored not one but two touchdowns apiece and unless you’re playing in a 20 team league with 10 flex positions, no one got in on any of that. Needless to say, the Fantasy Gods had a cruel sense of humor for most fantasy owners today which leads us to our main man, Justin Blackmon. Coming into the day, Blackmon had 250 yards on 26 receptions and at least 20 nonchalant attempts at the 59 targets he’d garnered through 9 games this season. For a wide receiver that was drafted in 5th overall, that stat line is not just bad but screams ‘bust’. Not at one point this year has Blackmon looked good. He’s looked lackadaisical, timid and many times unwilling to play over the middle. To tie things back in with the title, Justin has looked like Keith Richards out on the field: the only signs that he’s been actually alive...

Justin Blackmon finally plays like a first round pick for Jaguars
Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said the Jags’ Week 11 gameplan didn’t necessarily call for an emphasis on Justin Blackmon. Blackmon came out of nowhere to rack up 236 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets against the Texans Sunday. “It just happened that way [with the coverages],” Mularkey said. “It just unfolded that way. Justin made some great plays for us.” Blackmon...
MJD to owner Shad Khan: “You can’t just hop in and become a Super Bowl Champion”
The 2011 rushing champion Maurice Jones-Drew held out of training camp, lobbying for a new contract. New owner Shad Khan balked, and never budged. Jones returned late in camp, but the damage was already done. All he had left as a negotiating tactic was to put up the same type of numbers that won him the rushing title before. Well, his plan came to a screeching halt as soon as he...
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans: Five Things We Learned

Here’s what we learned from this game:Justin Blackmon will be a pain in Houston’s...
Rash of injuries shakes up RBs
If Week 10 was the week of the tight end, Week 11 must have been week of the wide receiver. Justin Blackmon and Andre Johnson turned in top-30 historical performances with both wide receivers combining for more than 500 receiving yards. The NFL looks to have more parity than ever with Atlanta, Dallas and the Texans narrowly escaping with wins despite being heavy home favorites. Another...

Jaguars show grit in OT loss to Houston
The Jacksonville Jaguars – despite having just eight wins on the season, being injury plagued and having a severe lack of talent and depth – showed Sunday they still have something left in the tank and that they haven’t given up yet.
Despite being written off by the media, and to be honest myself, the Jaguars showed some grit Sunday in the face of the vaunting Houston...
Texans 43, Jaguars 37 (OT)
HOUSTON - The Texans have developed a reputation as a strong defensive team, but on Sunday at Reliant Stadium, with their defense under siege from Jacksonville backup quarterback Chad Henne and rookie receiver Justin Blackmon, the Texans needed their offense to bail them out. Quarterback Matt Schaub set a franchise record for completions while receiver Andre Johnson enjoyed a...
