There was a stunned silence in the home crowd Sunday when Rams kicker Josh Brown nailed a field goal to send the Skins to a stunning 19-17 home loss to the Rams on Sunday.A The questions began right away as to what exactly why a team that looked so good the last two weeks on the road with key wins could come home and lay an egg to a Rams team that was 0-5 were aplenty. The first notion was that the team was overconfident.A Let's face it, most fans looked at the next three weeks and had visions of 7-1 dancing in their heads.A The team was able to do what it wanted on offense, and the defense had played well enough in Dallas and Philly that it looked as if a game vs the Rams was going to be a walk in the park.A Not so. It will be up to Jim Zorn to ground this team again, and a loss as shocking as this should.A They were outplayed by a team that is going to struggle to win 4-5 games, and to beat a Skins team that had all the momentum coming in was a shock likely even to the most die-hard Rams fan. Then there is the theory that the Skins were simply pressing.A They had gotten so much praise the last two weeks for their wins that they got away from what got them there, which was simple, sound football.A There was a sense early that the team was trying too hard, and once the Rams felt like they were in the game, they took total advantage of it. Zorn will also have to make sure the locker room keeps its mouth shut.A Clinton Portis was quick to say they overlooked the Rams, and Zorn came out today and said that is not the case.A "I don't think we saw ourselves as an elite team, strutting ourselves, walking in and saying 'We are so awesome,"' Zorn said. "I just think we tried to win the game. We played hard. a?? I don't think we overlooked this team at all, and I don't think we're going to overlook any team." They for sure won't now, not after this stunner on a Sunday when they should have moved to 5-1 instead of 4-2.
