Recently it seems that I have taken over Alex’s role of sleuthing out the fakers on Facebook. Some may say, and those some tend to be the fakers themselves, that I might be a tad overzealous. And I get the point. How sad and boring must my life be that I somehow have the time to spot a fake page and tell someone about it? Answer, it takes about a minute of the day and I was blessed with the gift of being able to multi-task. Either way, I suppose to someone outside it seems that my “mission” can sometimes be confused with the “crazies” (as the fakers will hereafter be referred to as); we both have nothing better to do. I have had people ask me, directly and indirectly, “what’s the harm?” When I was 13, I was a pretty dorky kid. Skin and bones, with no sense of style, no real sense of myself. I lacked self-esteem, my family life was falling apart around me, and in typical “mean” girls fashion I was being kicked about by some girls with even lower self-esteem. I had few loves or things...
