Americans have many passions and entertainment, but the NFL has been a part of the American culture for over 81 years. One year after the world officially ended World War I, many American football leagues and some independent teams agreed on becoming the American Professional Football Conference. Shortly after that it was renamed the National Football League. Many wars and conflicts have occurred since the NFL was developed, some worst than others, but they all have one common factor, brave men and women who have volunteered and had been drafted to defend our great nation and protect us from our enemies. Hundreds of Thousands of Service men and women are currently deployed to war zones all over the world. Their mission, to protect us from our enemies, they are making sacrifices and performing combat duties most Americans will never have to imagine. As we thank our veterans both past and present, please also keep in your thoughts the military families who sacrifice being separated from their loved ones as they deploy, if it wasn’t for families, service members would not have the satisfaction of knowing their families safe and secured at home.
