Earlier this week, the Miami Dolphins released DT Igor Olshansky. At the time, we thought it was because of his lack of production. Now we can surmise that the Dolphins released Olshansky after they learned that he was arrested for possessing pot, earlier this week. At this time, the timeline for when the arrest occurred is unclear. However, given the Dolphins leadership’s affinity to ex-Cowboys, we believe the arrest may have been the primary reason for Olshansky’s release.
Police were in Olshansky’s neighborhood investigating another suspect when they allegedly saw Igor rolling up a marijuana cigarette at his kitchen table. He was found in possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and was arrested. He was released from prison after posting $100 bond.
