Dolphins strong-side linebacker Ikaika Alama-Francis said he dropped 15 to 20 pounds due to the illness that cropped up Sept. 12 and has caused him to miss the first three games of the season. Five to 10 of those pounds have been regained, Alama-Francis said, and he has the green light to keep eating in hopes of returning to full strength. "All the stuff that was off limits for a while, I can eat now," Alama-Francis said. "It's a free-for-all." The former defensive end, who dropped 15 pounds during the offseason in making the position switch, was able to practice without limitations last week and hopes to be game ready by next Monday night. Without Alama-Francis there to set the edge, the Dolphins defense has struggled the past two weeks to contain outside runs. Dolphins coach Tony Sparano counted 10 outside rushes for a total of 90 yards against his defense on Sunday night. "This is two weeks in a row now where we gave up close to 150 yards rushing, another five yards a carry this week," Sparano said. "We got to stop the bleeding there."
