By Jim Donaldson Thinks all the pressure is on the Patriots -- losers of their last two playoff games at home the past two seasons -- in Saturday night's conference semifinal against the Broncos at Gillette Stadium.
There is this, from Wednesday's Denver Post, by columnist Dave Krieger:
" . . . the Broncos are playing with house money. Their dramatic upset of the Steelers on Sunday made a success of John Fox's first season as Denver's coach and Tim Tebow's first season as Denver's starting quarterback.
"Anything else is gravy. In fact, anything else is miraculous.
"The Patriots, on the other hand, have the weight of expectation and disappointment hanging from them like the chains on Marley's ghost. And they have to beat a team in the playoffs they already beat in the regular season, which has proved, recently, to be a problem.
"Last season, they beat the Jets 45-3 in December, then lost at home to them in the playoffs.
