When the 2011 season started, I expected to hear a lot of talk about Seattle competing for the rights to draft Andrew Luck. As the season wore on, the Seahawks did get more and more media attention, but it was for the strong play of Marshawn Lynch and a resurgent second half of the season, not for a push toward futility. There are a number of areas where the Seahawks still have room for significant improvement. But if they can add a few pieces this team could be a threat as soon as 2012, says Keith Myers, editor and lead writer of the Seahawks’ fan blog called 12th Man Rising. Myers recently shared his thoughts on where Seattle should be headed from here with Zoneblitz. Here’s what he had to say: Zoneblitz: Is Tarvaris Jackson a long-term answer at quarterback or will the team have to address that position again? Keith Myers: He isn’t a long term answer, but he never was meant to be. Jackson was brought in on a two-year contract to provide a bridge until the next franchise quarterba...

Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu sat out the entire season due to a knee injury, according to Jeff Fendotin of the National Football Post. “It was just injury-related,” said Fendotin’s source. “He wasn’t 100 percent and didn’t feel he was ready to go.” Tatupu plans on making a comeback in 2012 after rehabbing his knee and spending some quality time with...

THE Recap: Seattle Seahawks at the 2012 Pro Bowl

They were everywhere If you didn’t watch the Pro Bowl like many people I know, I don’t blame you one bit. The game has turned into a softer version of the NBA All-Star game which is really an atrocity of an All-Star game. The lineman didn’t rush, but instead played patty cake. The defense played 2 hand touch, at best, and let offensive players walk into the endzone. This year...

Midnight Lights at Century Link Field

Century Link Field is the home of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. A YouTuber named Jimmy Diebold put together a little light show incorporating, you guessed it, the lights from Century Link Field. And who doesn't like a light show? I'm not really sure why or how one would put this little diddy together, but for some reason I'm fascinated by it. Then again, I...

What The Seahawks Should Do This Offseason

In a division that is now under San Francisco’s reign, this offseason may make or break the Seahawks for the next handful of years. Only a little over a year ago, Marshawn Lynch made one of the most memorable NFL playoffs runs in history as the Seahawks knocked off the reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. This year was ironically the same end of regular season result...
