Despite being yanked with 10 minutes remaining in their loss to the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, the Indianapolis Colts have stated that QB Curtis Painter will remain the starter moving forward. Painter has yet to log a win for the Colts this season and has looked bad in several appearances this season.
Painter was named the starter for the Colts after veteran QB Kerry Collins suffered a reported concussion in Week Three. The Colts passing offense is currently ranked 28th in the NFL, averaging a paltry 182 yards per game through the air.Painter has 5 touchdowns in six starts this season.
Indianapolis is currently the only remaining winless team in the NFL and will host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week Ten. The Colts have shown weakness in nearly every facet of the game so far this season and if the Colts are unable to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in one of their two remaining divisional games, it is likely that Indianapolis will join the Detroit Lions as the only NFL tea...
