Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians was admitted to a Baltimore area hospital last weekend and missed the Colts game against the Baltimore Ravens. Arians was re-admitted to an Indianapolis area hospital after returning from Baltimore. Reports suggest that Arians was suffering from an inner-ear infection. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday night and now can begin to interview with some NFL teams that have interest. Arians is scheduled to meet with the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He will then meet with the San Diego Chargers. The Philadelphia Eagles also have requested permission to speak with the Colts coordinator as well. Bruce Arians name entered the head coaching discussion after his performance on the field this season. He filled in as the Colts interim coach while Chuck Pagano was dealing with cancer treatment. Arians coached the Colts to a 9-3 record in his absence. He would make a good fit with any of these teams. Arians works well with quarterbacks....

High school student signs out Andrew Luck’s textbook, tweets photo of it (pic)

It wasn’t too many years ago that Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck was a young high school kid with stars in his eyes and dreams of one day becoming an NFL quarterback. But unlike most high school kids, he probably realized his youthful aspirations of NFL greatness had a chance of coming to fruition.  On the other hand, just like any other high school kid, he...

Bruce Arians back in hospital. Will his illness affect his job search?

Bruce Arians was a remarkable coach this year. He demonstrated an ability to hold a team together in spite of difficult news and he did a job he wasn’t prepared for to a level of excellence. He showed he has 'it'. That ambiguous quality that it takes to rally a group of grown men around a single cause. However, with his recent bout with illness you have to question whether...

Colts know restoration project not finished yet

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Jim Irsay's decisions seem so logical now. A year ago, he wanted new blood in the front office and on the sideline. He needed a plan for the future, and he had to clear a spot for a new franchise quarterback to grow, even if it meant cutting Peyton Manning. Longtime Indianapolis fans and hordes of critics thought...

Jaguars hire Caldwell as GM

David Caldwell will get a chance to turn around one of the NFL's weakest teams, as he was hired Tuesday to be the Jacksonville Jaguars' new general manager. Caldwell, 38, spent the past five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, last year serving as the director of player personnel. "We got our man," Jaguars owner Shad Khan said in a statement released by the team...

It’s Only January and Skip Bayless has Already Written the Dumbest Sports “Article” of the Year

In an industry that seemingly devolves day after day, finding the most inept, inane sportswriter can sometimes prove more difficult than expected. Last year, the title was pretty much up for grabs until the fall, whereupon Mitch Albom blew away the “competition” with a steaming pile of word turds related to the AL MVP race. This year, however, I think we can give the damn thing...

Ray Lewis Won’t Apologize To Reggie Wayne For Dance

As we reported yesterday Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne felt some type of way about Ray Lewis doing his famous squirrel dance on the final play of the Ravens playoff victory over the Colts.  Ray Lewis has never been one to mince words and via baltimoreravens.com, let it be known “he won’t be apologizing to Wayne or anyone else, because it wasn’t about them.”...

Agent: Colts' Arians out of hospital

The agent for Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said Wednesday night that his client has been released from an Indianapolis hospital and that they are finalizing details to begin interviewing for head coaching jobs. Earlier in the day, a league source familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that doctors were still trying to determine the extent of a health problem...

How Can You Make Ray Lewis’ Dance More Annoying? Do It Underwater!

After the absurd amount of Ray Lewis dancing that viewers and Reggie Wayne had to put up with during Ray’s farewell performance at M&T Bank Stadium, it seems almost cruel to subject readers to more of the trademark Ray-Ray spastic dance. But when the folks at the National Aquarium (also known as the only nice thing in Baltimore) have divers jump in a tank wearing Ray Lewis...
