PLAYERS: Greg Toler
TEAMS: Indianapolis Colts
Nfl-seattle-seahawks
Injuries have limited Greg Toler to 308 snaps over the last 2 seasons, but the Colts gave him 15 million over 3 years anyway. He’s always played pretty well when healthy and graded out above average on ProFootballFocus this season, on the strength of a game against Detroit in which he didn’t allow a completion on 5 attempts, picked off a pass, and had 3 deflections. If he could ever stay healthy over the course of a full season, he could be a solid starter and the Colts definitely needed cornerback help, but it’s unclear who else would have given him this kind of money to find out if he could ever stay healthy. This looks like an obvious overpay. Grade: C [switch_ad-hub]

Darrius Heyward-Bey to visit Colts

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts plan to bring in former Oakland Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey in for a visit, possibily today. Owner Jim Iray has been dropping hints on Twitter about a big signing, but we're pretty sure DHB doesn't qualify for all the hoopla. Bey was Al Davis' prized 2009 pick, 7th overall, who was supposed...

Crazy Colts Fan -Darius Heyward-Bey to the Indianapolis Colts?

Crazy Colts Fan - Jim Irsay's Big Free Agent Wide Reeiver is Darius Heyward-Bey About a week ago Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay told the Twitter universe in a rather creative way that the Colts were looking to make a big splash in the free agency market by signing a big name wide receiver. Well, his tweets made it sound as if he had someone in mind, but...

Indianapolis Colts sign G Donald Thomas

Donald Thomas proved that he deserved a starting job in 2013 after playing very well for the Patriots in 7 spot starts in 2012. Despite his limited playing time, he still finished the year as ProFootballFocus’ 17th rated guard. He was a better run blocker than pass protector, but allowed just 1 sack, 2 hits, and 9 hurries, while committing just 3 penalties and he has the versatility...

Indianapolis Colts: Seven Round NFL Mock Draft 2013

In the 2012 Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected their franchise quarterback in Andrew Luck. The Colts had one of the biggest, if not the best turn around seasons in NFL history with going from 2-14 in 2011, to 11-5 in 2012. The Colts made great strides and 2012 but are still missing pieces to move them into the upper tier of the NFL elite teams. The Colts have a great future ahead...

Do we finally have the identity of Jim Irsay’s ‘wopper’?

A couple of weeks ago, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay caused a stir for most of this team’s fans when he began tweeting about the ogranization zeroing in on a wide receiver. However, there were no inklings from him or anyone else, as to who the receiver was. We supposed it was Randy Moss, as most of the bigger names weren’t ones they could afford. But with no deal in place...

Colts Meet With WR Darrius Heyward-Bey

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hinted several times last week that his team had interest in a big name wide receiver.  Rumors floated that it might be Victor Cruz, but Irsay shot that down. CBS Sports is reporting that former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is in town meeting with the Colts for two days starting today. Could a deal possibly get done?  Heyward...

Heyward-Bey is next target on Colts' wish list

The Indianapolis Colts next free agent target is receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey. Indy, which has already signed eight players from other teams, has invited Heyward-Bey for a two-day visit that was supposed to begin Monday. The information was first posted on the team's website. Oakland took Heyward-Bey with the seventh overall pick in the draft in 2009 but never lived up to the...

Colts, Heyward-Bey reach agreement

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey.
