As we continue the Team Needs series for the 2013 NFL Draft, we proceed to the team with the twenty-fourth overall pick; the Indianapolis Colts. It was an emotional year of change in Indiana as not only were the Colts adjusting to like after Peyton, but their head coach came down with cancer early in the year.
However, the Colts young roster rallied around their coach and found themselves improving nine wins over their previous season and confirming that they have their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future under lock and key. To ensure that he has things around him needed to succeed, here is the route I believe Chuck Pagano will take in the draft this April.
Yes, the Colts have their guy in Andrew Luck. Now they need to ensure that he doesn’t develop any nagging injury like the one that caused their last one to miss a full season. Therefore, improving the offensive line should be priority number one in this draft. Mike McGlynn and Jeff Linkenbach should b...

The Colts have decided to sign defensive end Fili Moala to 1 year contract. The Colts have kept another impending free agent from hitting the market. Fili Moala, who suffered a torn ACL midway through the season, was signed to a one year deal. The Colts also decided to retain Pat McAfee earlier this week with a franchise tag. The signing comes as a bit of surprised due to the ACL...
The question on everyone’s mind right now (except in Baltimore ), is Joe Flacco worth the contract? There had been speculation from the moment Saturday said 2012 would be his final season in the league that the Colts would bring back their longtime center so he could retire with the team that brought him into the league. Team officials say Saturday will make the announcement Thursday at the Colts complex.
Anytime multiple franchise quarterbacks come out of the same draft class, it’s assured they will be painstakingly compared to one another for the duration of their NFL careers. Naturally, 2012 was one of those bountiful QB draft classes, giving us Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson, as well as several other, less exciting starters. Among those, RGIII and Luck will...
I recently caught up with former Notre Dame and current Indianapolis Colts safety Sergio Brown. The past 13 months have been a bit of a roller coaster for Brown. After starting for parts of 2011 and playing for the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI last February, he was surprisingly one of New England's final 2012 August roster cuts. The two-year vet was quickly snatched by Indianapolis...
