Monday's film session isn't changing the opinion of Colts interim coach Bruce Arians. He still saw all those mistakes in full, vivid detail - the missed tackles, the missed blocks, the turnovers and the decision to try and do too much too fast. So one day after yielding 252 yards rushing and 35 points to a New York Jets offense that had scored only 17 points in the previous eight quarters, Arians tried to use the blowout loss as yet another lesson about what the Colts (2-3) can expect to see in future games - a steady diet of the ground game. Why? Maurice Jones-Drew and Shonn Greene have each topped 150 yards this season, and Arians wants that corrected before Cleveland comes to town Sunday.

Shonn Greene was among the NFL's worst rushers entering Week Six, but a career day against the Indianapolis Colts just may have saved his starting job and given the Jets' season new life.

It was a virtuoso performance for Shonn Greene and New York's rushing offense as the Jets blasted the Colts on Sunday at Metlife Stadium

Greene, Jets ground game chew up Colts

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez took the running backs out for dinner last week and was amazed at the appetite displayed by Shonn Greene. "Shonn got the biggest steak you could possibly have," Sanchez said with a grin. "He eats like a lineman." On Sunday, Greene feasted on the Indianapolis Colts. Greene set career highs with...

Jets grind out blowout win over Colts

Shonn Greene ran for a career-high 161 yards and three touchdowns to power a rejuvenated ''Ground-and-Pound'' offense that rushed for more than 250 yards, Mark Sanchez was efficient and Tim Tebow made a few big plays in a 35-9 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Even the Jets' maligned defense was able to shut down Andrew Luck and the Colts' offense...

Shonn Greene, not Sanchez, carries Jets

Shonn Greene, the fourth year running back, had a career day rushing for 161 yards on 32 carries with three touchdowns as the New York Jets dominated Indianapolis Colts. It was Greene’s best day since back in 2009 when he rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. After four straight games with less than a 50 percent completion percentage, Mark Sanchez didn’t...

Running back Shonn Greene answered the bell against the Colts as the Jets earned a much-needed home win on Sunday.

Article of the Day: Week 6 Recap –

I'm guessing a lot of remote controls made their way through television screens yesterday as Shonn Greene owners that kept the plodding Jet sidelined and RG3 owners that were scared by the late game questionable tag and opted for an alternative are likely looking at a fantasy L this week. Today we present a recap of yesterday's goings on with a fantasy perspective (as if...

Greene powers Jets to 35-9 runaway over Colts

Mark Sanchez was at dinner with his running backs last week when Shonn Greene's meal arrived at the table. Talk about a heaping helping. ''I think Shonn got the biggest steak you could possibly have,'' the New York Jets quarterback said with a smile. ''He eats like a lineman. He needed it all today, though, so that was good for him.'' Well,...

Jets' running game comes to rescue

The New York Jets finally figured out a way to silence the interminable debate about which of their high profile quarterbacks should be throwing the ball on offense. All they had to do was stop throwing the ball so much. It didn't really matter who was under center for New York during the team's 35-9 rout of the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at MetLife Stadium -- though,...

AFC West Beat: Raiders Take On Jags in Battle of Bad Teams

This weekend, Oakland will be playing the Jacksonville Jaguars at home.History These two teams have met five times since the Jaguars joined the league in 1995, with Oakland winning the first matchup...

Jets 35, Colts 9

The Jets (3-3) rushed for 252 yards...

Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets: Hero and Zero of the Game

It is a well-known fact that the New York Jets have been one of the most talked about teams this season. The controversial franchise has had an equally controversial season, as they have struggled to be consistent through six weeks of the season, but there is hope yet for Gang Green! After coming off a huge victory at home against the Packers last week, the Colts were looking to...

Dallas backs headline Week 7 adds

1. Felix Jones Should Provide Short-Term Starting Value Be it in an RB2 or flex capacity, Felix Jones should provide fantasy starter numbers so long as he's healthy and DeMarco Murray (foot) is out. Those conditions probably won't last more than two or three weeks - Jones' own lengthy injury history makes him a risk even if Murray is out a while - but Jones has fresh...
