Colts left guard Donald Thomas will have season-ending surgery in the next few days and will be put on injured reserve. Coach Chuck Pagano made the announcement Monday. Rookie Hugh Thornton, a third-round draft pick, replaced Thomas during Sunday's 24-20 loss to Miami and is expected to make his first NFL start this weekend at San Francisco. It was a tough week for the Colts (1-1), who lost starting running back Vick Ballard when he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Thursday's practice. Tight end Dwayne Allen (hip) was inactive for Sunday's game, and receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey left Sunday's game with what was initially described as a rib injury. Amid all that, the Colts lost their first home game in 12 months, too. --- AP NFL website:

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton has a lot to answer for

Well I’m more than a little peeved. Oh, so many questions, SO many questions. And they all revolve around the offense and why Andrew Luck has to overcome bad play-calling from his own offensive coordinator. Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton has so much to answer for. First and foremost, why are you running a goal line formation deep in T.Y. Hilton has more than...

Indianapolis Colts lose to Miami: Thoughts and reactions

Fourth quarter rallies seem all too common for the Indianapolis Colts. So much that when one falls short, we are often left dumb founded when they fail to actually follow through with it. Such was the case in the week 2 match up against the Miami Dolphins. Down 24-20 with on their own 14 yard line with minutes to play, Andrew Luck and the Colts managed to drive all the way to the...

Heyward-Bey's MRI Comes Back Negative

Colts receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey left Sunday's game against the Dolphins with a shoulder injury and luckily the MRI came back negative.Fantasy Spin:Heyward-Bey should return to practice by the end of the week. He has done nothing to get fantasy owners excited while wideouts Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton and tight end Coby Fleener are much better targets.

Colts' Darrius Heyward-Bey's will return this week

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a tough loss on Sunday when starting wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey left the game with a shoulder injury. Colts too reliant on Andrew Luck in loss to Dolphins

The Indianapolis Colts attempted to push their record to 2-0 earlier this afternoon, but the Miami Dolphins were too much to handle. The Colts lost the game 20-24, but the big takeaway from the game wasn’t the final result; it was what happened on the field in Indianapolis. Andrew Luck dumps Gatorade

It looks like Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is finally capitalizing on his status of being a franchise quarterback and former number one overall draft pick. Why is the Colts offense boring?

I’m not necessarily the type to panic about early season failures for the Colts.  Similarly, I don’t get too amped up at early successes either. That said, this Drunk Colts Fan is concerned with the look and feel of the team so far in 2013. Sure, they pulled off the win against Oakland in Week 1. They should’ve won that game. Week 2′s loss to Miami was disappointing and...
