Redskins defensive end Kedric Golston on Friday confirmed he is done for the season because of elbow and groin injuries. "Well, I have a pretty significant injury," Golston said in a phone interview. "It's a downer, because you only get 16 of these." Golston will become the third defensive lineman this week the Redskins have had to put on season-ending injured reserves, joining Phillip Daniels and Maake Kemoateu. A five-year veteran, Golston started all 13 games in which he played at right end this season, Washington's first in a base 3-4 defense after many years in a 4-3 scheme. The hard-working Golston, a solid defensive tackle in the Redskins' previous defense, was expected to back up two-time all-pro Albert Haynesworth on the right side. Haynesworth, however, never fully adapted to the 3-4. Citing conduct detrimental to the club, the Redskins suspended Haynesworth without pay for the final four games of
