It was hard to watch doctors tend to injured Bills running back Johnny White and not think of Kevin Everett, the Bills player who was paralyzed on a special teams play against the Broncos in 2007. The good news is that White, who was strapped to a backboard, driven off the field and taken to a hospital, has been cleared to return to Buffalo with the team. White was injured after a hit by Broncos linebacker Mario Haggan, who was on the Bills in 2007 when Everett was injured. Haggan said he was on the field, lined up next to Everett, when Everett went down while trying to tackle Broncos returner Dominik Hixon. Haggan said Everett’s injury is still a “touchy subject” for him. “I was actually sitting there trying to talk to him, and I watched him lay motionless,” Hagan said of Everett. “It’s one of those things that’s hard to think about, and hard to forget.” Haggan injured his shoulder later in the third quarter and did not return....
