The Chicago Bears received some good news and some bad news on Thursday.
Here’s the good news first.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Bears running back Matt Forte intends to play on Sunday. He was limited in practice for the second straight day with an ankle injury.
He has been trying very hard to get back onto the field as soon as possible.
“I’ve been doing a lot of different stuff, seeing the chiropractor, working on it, sleeping in the hyperbaric chamber,” Forte said via Chicagosuntimes.com. “That seems to work pretty well. I just continue to do what I did last time.”
Expect the Bears to use Forte on a limited basis, while Michael Bush gets the bulk of the carries. Forte could be used more in passing situations than in the run game.
The bad news is wide receiver Devin Hester won’t be able to play on Sunday. He has been ruled out with concussion like symptoms, according to the Chicago Tribune.
He has missed just four games in his six NFL seasons. The last time he missed a game...
