Found November 29, 2012 on Bears Backer:
The Chicago Bears received some good news and some bad news on Thursday. Here’s the good news first. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Bears running back Matt Forte intends to play on Sunday. He was limited in practice for the second straight day with an ankle injury. He has been trying very hard to get back onto the field as soon as possible. “I’ve been doing a lot of different stuff, seeing the chiropractor, working on it, sleeping in the hyperbaric chamber,” Forte said via “That seems to work pretty well. I just continue to do what I did last time.” Expect the Bears to use Forte on a limited basis, while Michael Bush gets the bulk of the carries. Forte could be used more in passing situations than in the run game. The bad news is wide receiver Devin Hester won’t be able to play on Sunday. He has been ruled out with concussion like symptoms, according to the Chicago Tribune. He has missed just four games in his six NFL seasons. The last time he missed a game was in 2009. He is third on the team this season in receiving with 18 receptions for 203 yards and one touchdown. He hasn’t really gotten much going in the return game this season. His longest kickoff return is of 38 yards and his longest punt return is of 44 yards. Eric Weems and Earl Bennett will help fill in for the injured Hester in the return game. Linebacker Lance Briggs (ankle) was limited in practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday. Cornerback Charles Tillman (ankle) was also limited in practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday. Other notable injuries for the Bears this week are left guard Chris Spencer (knee) and tight end Kellen Davis (ankle). Spencer has been ruled out this week, while Davis was limited in practice on Thursday. Expect to see Briggs, Tillman and Davis on the field against the Seahawks on Sunday.
