Jacob Allie is the starting Quarterback for the Lindbergh Eagles. Last Friday he led his team to a 48-28 victory over Columbia River. Alllie and his team have a tough task of facing powerhouse Bellevue High on Friday in the first round of the 3A state playoffs. We got to ask Allie a few questions, the full Q&A is below:

It looks like Lindbergh is having a great season thus far with only one loss against No. 6 Kennedy, what do you attribute this season's success to?

We are playing great as a team, we do everything for each other, on and off the field. We have really good team chemistry. We've put in a lot of work in the off season with camps and 7 on 7 tournaments and now it's all coming together.

What do you believe you and the team have to do to beat an extremely tough Bellevue team? What's the teams' mindset going in?

Our mindset going into the game is that it's just another game. We haven't reached our full potential yet and we know that we can compete with anyone in the state if we play at a top level. We're just excited we get a chance to play one of those top teams

If you could name one college or pro quarterback that you model your game after, whom would it be and why?

I would probably model my game after Brett Favre because he's a true throwing quarterback. He doesn't like to scramble too much, but he can make plays happen outside of the pocket when they need to happen.

Would you consider this season a failure if you don't win a state championship? Why or why not?

Well seeing as it's my senior season anything less then a state championship would be a disappointment. But a failure? I don't think it would be a failure because we have come a long way. Nobody even thought Lindbergh High School would do anything after the class of '06 left, and after only 2 years, with a new coach, we've made it back. That's a pretty good accomplishment.

What are you plans for after high school? Playing college ball? Any scholarship offers? Schools of interest?

For plans after high school I just want to play college football, and get some sort of a scholarship to help my parents pay for college. I haven't really gotten any looks from any big schools, just a couple division 3 schools. I would like to play football over at Central Washington because they run the spread offense which we run now.
