Following the Indianapolis Colts improbable win on Sunday team owner Jim Irsay gave the team an inspiring speech in the locker room. Irsay then delivered the game ball to coach Chuch Pagano who is hospitalized at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
“That was the first time I wanted to go to a hospital,” said Irsay. “I could not wait to get to the hospital and deliver that game ball. He is doing tremendous, he looks great, his spirits are so high and he could not be prouder.”
In an interview with Fox 59, Irsay said Coach Pagano was sad he could not be there with the team, but their actions on the field made him proud.
“Just had an incredible time, talking about the game,” said Irsay. “His spirits are so high. Just incredible.”
It is expected that Pagano will miss six to eight weeks as he undergoes treatment for a treatable form of leukemia. The first year coach had a large presence on Sunday as banners and shirts displaying #chuckstrong were displayed throughout Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts rallied from an 18 point half time deficit to defeat the Green Bay Packers 30-27.

Okay, I'm just going to blast through a few of these recaps because, well, this was the kind of game that makes us want to read some recap articles. This was the type of win we like to savor for awhile.
So, first up, Conrad Brunner of 1070 The Fan has a nice wrap-up of the game and touches on how truly important it was to Reggie Wayne:
Well, how about one more recap; this one from another local reporter.

This is the type of game that will live on in the memories of Colts fans everywhere. With it being the first weekend of breast cancer awareness month in the NFL, almost all the players and coaches were wearing splashes of pink throughout their uniforms, but it was a single pair of orange gloves that seemed to show up everywhere on the field. Orange is the official color of leukemia...

After Sunday's 212-yard effort, Colts wideout Reggie Wayne leads the NFL in receiving yards-per-game (126.5).Fantasy Spin:Apparently rumors of Wayne's "fantasy death" were greatly exaggerated. All he needed was a quarterback who could get him the ball. With rookie Andrew Luck under center Wayne should certainly produce his eighth 1,000-yard receiving season in the...
The Colts week 5 game was supposed to be about their Head Coach. It was supposed to be about the emotions of the sad, unexpected, depressing situation. It was supposed to be about the Green Bay Packers showing the world they're still the best team in the NFL.
Instead, as the Colts (2-2) fought back from a 21-3 halftime deficit to win 30-27, we found that today was all about...
The Indianapolis Colts beat the Green Bay Packers when their Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck wouldn’t accept losing. Luck played like a seasoned pro as he dueled with Aaron Rodgers today. Luck showed he has the poise of anyone who plays quarterback in the NFL. The Colts would see Luck throw the ball 55 times in the game completing 31 of them for 362 yards and 2 touchdowns. Luck...
The Indianapolis Colts played the Green Bay Packers, if you got to see it you’re lucky as FOX here in Indiana did not have the Colts’ game on television but instead was playing Soccer.
Barclays Premier League was being aired instead of football on a Sunday. I have nothing against Soccer, but it just seems like a strange call to me, what do you think?
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts wanted to send a message to ailing coach Chuck Pagano, and they delivered one that will never be forgotten. Using a 27-point second half, the Colts came from 18 points down to beat the Green Bay Packers 30-27 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Trailing 27-22, Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck engineered an 80-yard drive in the final 4:30...
