This is no longer about who’s an elite quarterback, who’s not, we have talked that one to death all season. This is about more than that, something more important: Who the best quarterback is right now. Eli Manning is playing better than anybody going into this Super Bowl, and that includes the guy he goes up against in Indy, old friend Tom Brady. Eli did not have his best stats on Sunday against the 49ers, and was on the ground a lot, and did not own the fourth quarter and overtime the way he has a lot this season. He still came away with two touchdown passes, more than 300 passing yards, so many third-down conversions you lost count, this guy who sometimes makes third-and-long look so easy. And even though he came close to turning the ball over to the 49ers, he did not. Did not throw the kinds of interceptions that Brady threw in Foxboro against Baltimore, including one in the end zone when the Patriots had a chance to put the Ravens away I don’t know if I agree with M...

And they say he chokes?

While looking at QB playoff performance Football Outsiders notes that both Tom Brady and Eli Manning are among the top 3 in DYAR. To gain some perspective they compared them to the top DYAR QBs since 1995.  Who is at the top of the list? You might recognize him. (Hopefully this puts to rest the notion that Eli's older brother had a habit of choking in the playoffs. Peyton Manning...

Helmet catch will forever define Tyree's career

Eli Manning took home the MVP. Plaxico Burress had the game-winning catch. David Tyree got the biggest prize in the 2008 Super Bowl - an unforgettable moment that forever will be his. No play in the New York Giants' 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots has been shown more than Tyree's fourth-quarter catch of a ball against his helmet with defender Rodney Harrison...
