Is Hanie Entrenched as Cutler’s Backup?

Does Hanie have a future in Chicago? By Columnist Bryan Dietzler The Bears signaled something interesting when they drafted Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle in the 2011 NFL Draft. Like the year prior (when the Bears selected the now departed Dan LeFevour) it’s been said that offensive coordinator Mike Martz really liked Enderle and felt that he could groom him into a starting quarterback sometime in the future. So what does the drafting of Enderle mean for Caleb Hanie? Unfortunately for Hanie he has had an odd career in Chicago. His preseason play has been pretty solid but the Bears haven’t believed (especially last year) that he could be their number two quarterback.
