&#a0;I agree with Bedard here. Chandler Jones has been the only player on this team that can generate a pass rush. We all see Ninkovich's strip sacks, etc. Those are great, but what we don't see is the inconsistency there. Chandler Jones is not going to play in this game, so Belichick will find out what he has behind him. This might (hopefully) force Belichick to blitz more. A strategy that has largely worked out in games against the Rams and Colts. If he blitzes Sanchez (who he never blitzes) and has success, maybe he'll alter his bend don't break style a little bit and send more pressure in the future.I don't think that blitzing is the end all be all solution that it's made out be above. As Bedard points out, Bill does it when he feels it is the best way to attack a scheme. Also, when an offensive line seems weak. Belichick looks at the probability is that his pressure will actually get there. The flip side to that is that teams are completing nearly ever...

New York Post covers upcoming Jets-Pats tilt

This is so stupid. First of all, what gives the New York Post even the slightest bit of confidence that the 4-6 Jets now have a cozy match up against the 7-3 New England Patriots. Yeah, Rob Gronkowski won't be playing but it's looking like Aaron Hernandez will. Tom Brady is still under center and the Patriots have Wes Welker and Stevan Ridley as their other two top weapons...

Patriots Injury Report: Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker

The New England Patriots officially ruled tight end Rob Gronkowski out for tonight’s game against the New York Jets, while several players are listed as questionable to play, including tight end Aaron Hernandez and wide receivers Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, reports Mike Whitmer of the Boston Globe. While Welker and Lloyd were able to suit up and play last weekend, Hernandezâ€...

UGG For Men Release “Pink Slip” Commercial Feat Tom Brady

This past Monday UGG for Men released their latest campaign commercial entitled “Pink Slip” for the 2012 holiday season, featuring brand ambassador Tom Brady(New England Patriots). UGG  got their inspiration for “Pink Slip” from Tom’s love for gifting his teammates, in this case with a comfy and smooth pair of  $119 UGG for Men Ascot slippers. Check it out ! “The conceptâ...

Aaron Hernandez Expects To Step Up With Rob Gronkowski Out

Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez mentioned that he fully expects to carry the extra load for the Patriots offense in wake of teammate Rob Gronkowski‘s broken forearm. “The way this program is, the way [coach] Bill [Belichick] makes us become the players that we become is we all have confidence and we all know we have to come to play every game regardless,” Hernandez said, via...

Tom Brady stars in new UGG commercial

I really wish UGG would stop trying to make epic, manly commercials for their girly shoes. I highly doubt any pro football player is rewarded for beating the odds and making a team by receiving a pair of UGGs in their locker. I love Tom Brady, but give me a break. Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

Nate Solder could play tight end? Greg Salas waived again

ESPNBoston:Where Zusevics fits on the roster. A rookie free agent out of Iowa who tore his pectoral muscle at the combine, Zusevics has been on the non-football injury list all season. Today marked the deadline for the team to make a decision on his status -- either injured reserve or the active roster. This is obviously an indication that the Patriots want him to be part of the...

Patriots OT Sebastian Vollmer Among Week 12's Inactives

In a major surprise, Sebastian Vollmer has been inactivated for the game against the Jets. The Patriots' tackle has been bothered by knee and back issues but has played through them and has drawn praise for working at a Pro Bowl level. His absence means two offensive line starters will not play. Logan Mankins had been ruled out earlier because of an ankle problem. Other scratches...

Patriots DE Chandler Jones, OG Logan Mankins Won't Play Vs Jets

The New England Patriots will be without Rob Gronkowski, Chandler Jones and Logan Mankins when they travel to face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, The Star-Ledger's Conor Orr reported. Gronkowski being out was no surprise after he underwent surgery this week on a broken forearm. Jones hurt an ankle in a win over the Indianapolis Colts and did not return...

Patriot’s Offense Will Survive Without Gronk

There is no doubt Rob Gronkowski’s broken forearm, which will keep him out four to six weeks, will hurt the Patriot’s offense, but the team will continue to produce without him.  They have too many weapons not too.  Yes, Gronk is a major part of the offense, but other players will step up and produce.  Aaron Hernandez should be back from injury this week, and if Julian Edelman...

Patriots Must Hope Aaron Hernandez Is Healthy, Other Receivers Step Up in Wake of Rob Gronkowski’s Injury

Oh, Gronk. Oh, Gronk, Where art though, Gronk? Much has been made about Rob Gronkowski‘s surgically repaired left forearm this week and considering the pace the offense was rolling in recent weeks, the frustration is justified. Gronkowski is expected to be out for four to eight weeks, and with Aaron Hernandez still ailing from a lingering ankle injury, the questions are just piling...

Patriots Promote OT Markus Zusevics, Waive WR Greg Salas

The Patriots promoted OL Markus Zusevics from the practice squad and waived WR Greg Salas. Zusevics is an undrafted rookie out of Iowa. If active, he will add depth on the O-line for New England’s Thursday night game against the Jets. Salas signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Nov. 17 and appeared in a reserve role in last week’s win over the Colts. Source...

New England Patriots at New York Jets: Week 12 NFL Pick

New England Patriots (7-3) at New York Jets (4-6) The Patriots suffered a serious injury last week, losing Rob Gronkowski for at least 4 weeks with a broken arm. Gronkowski is an incredible football player and one of the top offensive players in the NFL and his absence obviously hurts. However, no one does the “next man up” thing offensively better than the Patriots. Remember...

New England Patriots at New York Jets: Three Bold Predictions

This week, the New England Patriots travel down to MetLife Stadium, to take on long-time division rival New York Jets. This is one of those division rivalries that isn't among the top three in the league, but it always delivers enough intrigue to keep you coming back for more.In the two team's matchup back in Week 7, it was the Patriots that narrowly won the game, coming down...

Jermaine Cunningham Had Stellar Game Rushing Passer, But Struggled Replacing Chandler Jones’ Run Defense

It may not have flashed on your typical stat sheet, but Jermaine Cunningham was giving Andrew Luck fits in Sunday’s Colts-Patriots matchup. The third-year defensive end had the tough task of replacing rookie Chandler Jones as an every-down player when Jones left the game with an ankle injury. Between playing Jones’ defensive end spot and Cunningham’s usual third down defensive...

Fantasy Forecast: Week 12

QB Tom Brady Brady has been on fire the past four weeks with 11 TDs and 0 picks, but I'd temper expectations on his yardage output this week. The Jets have been solid against the pass, and I think it's likely that the Pats will focus on the running game against one of the league's worst front 7s. Expect somewhere around 250 and 2 scores. Anything more than that is gravy...
