i am a huge ohio state fan, i hope he gets a shot somewhere to start. I think he could be a very good QB in this league.

No, no, no Troy Smith is way way better than Kordell (slash)

Troy Smith has mad game....
-
Touchdown Troy needs a chance somewhere as a QB.
-
he needs a chance but not as QB, look how well that worked out for Vince and Vick. Troy is talented but he's no pocket passer which will work in college but not in the pro's
-
We don't know if he can be a pocket passer. He needs a chance. He made some amazing passes in the pocket at Ohio State. He has a good arm and foot work, he is short, and that is his only weakness as a pocket passer. Vince is mental and Vick never threw like Smith. worked out really well for McNabb (I'm not saying T. Smith is McNabb).
-
Agreed. With Mcnabb though, he's a lot bigger then Smith. I think something tough for these Athletic QB's is that their use to being able to get out of trouble with their feet in college and then they go Pro and suddenly everyone is as fast or faster then you and defensive schemes are different and it messes with their confidence as well. I think it happened to Vince and it will with Troy as well. But like you said we really don't know so lets see...hopefully.

i think troy can really play

Troy is the best kept secret in the NFL.
-
-
I thought Troy should have started many years ago when he was first drafted
-
Many years ago? How long has it been? Two years?
-
Yes I waitin for someone to catch that lus 2 years is infinity in the NFL
-
Is anyone else surprised that with an athlerte like Troy, why not put a 10-15 play package that utilizes his unique skill set. Have him run the wildcat. Have a guy that is used to throwing line up back there and create more of a threat that he will throw. The wildcat broke down for Miami late in the season because no one was afraid of Ronnie Brown throwing. Troy would make teams respect that when he is in there, running the wildcat, he very well may stretch the field,
-
they do use him like that. Remember when Joe Flacco caught that long ball? yeah straight from Troy's arm.
-
We only saw him on 1 or 2 plays in the playoffs. I don't think they used him enough.
-
I just don't see the Ravens deploying an offense like that 2 much, It's just no their style.
-
You mean Troy Smith might be gay and should probably be playing WR?
-
he wasn't very gay when he threw that touchdown pass against Penn State they year he won the heisman
-
I'm trying to appeal to your hate of Penn State...
-
I like it!! And I personally didn't think/care if Kordell was. Actually I think he's an example of rumours about issues insignificant to football having a detrimental effect on a career. He became a locker room pariah. And fan support in Pittsburgh sharply declined. At any rate, I believe Kordell was more talented than Troy Smith.
